Triple Clay Masque
Meredith created this dry blend of bentonite, kaolin, and French green sea clays to be a skin-care multi-tool. It contains the perfect ratio of each ingredient to provide the best possible combination of minerals and benefits for your skin. Unlike single-clay blends that target oily skin, our Triple Clay Masque is optimum for all skin types.
Clay masques are perfect for giving your pores a deep cleaning after a sweaty day. You can mix it with your body wash to create a scrub in the shower, or to clean your feet when you’re camping.
But our absolute favorite use is as a bug bite treatment! Just mix some clay with cold water and cover the bug bite (see instructions below). As it dries, it acts as a poultice — pulling extra liquids out of your skin and reducing inflammation.
It has just three ingredients, and is blended by hand here in Spokane Valley, WA. Like all of our SR 109 products, it is naturally gluten-free and we use equipment that has never come into contact with gluten.
To use as a facial masque:
Mix 1-2 tablespoons of Triple-Clay Masque with water to create a thick, spreadable paste. Apply a thin layer to your face, avoiding any broken skin. Let sit until almost — but not completely — dry, then remove with a damp cloth.
To use as a scrub:
Combine 1-2 teaspoons of clay with your face or body wash, or with a small amount of a carrier oil (like coconut, sunflower, or grapeseed oil). Rub gently on your skin, then rinse off with warm water.
To ease itching as a bug bite poultice:
Mix clay and cold water into a thick paste. Apply a thick layer to itchy bug bites, being careful to avoid any broken skin. Let sit until completely dry.
FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY
We don’t care what it says on the internet.
Please, oh please, do not eat clay.
